The story of this piece is a magic tale of spiritual growth, one that I’m still channelling and writing. Soon the piece will be able to be passed on and the story to be continued.
Oxalá is an orixá (deity) of the Brazilian Umbanda tradition.
He is the father of all other orixás and of human beings too.
Just like the hummingbird, Oxalá has a pure heart, that doesn’t fear anything and doesn’t want to be feared by anything. He’s the true masculine love, the warrior of light and love. The type of love that stands like a rock effortlessly in aid of everyone around.
The hummingbird beak is made of 18ct fairtrade gold.
It’s tail features an opal and diamond pendant set in 18ct gold at the centre, two rose quartz crystal stones, two red coral roses set in 18ct gold, two drops in red coral and pink coral and two river pearls
The necklace was woven with intention using coloured glass beads and solid 18ct gold beads.
The chain is in 18ct recycled gold
All metals and gemstones are ethically sourced.
