The particular texture of the gold surface evokes the dance of the grass (gwels) and the wind (gwyns). This image of the Cornish landscape has been the artistic inspiration for Francesca to write a creational myth for her jewellery collection.
Many moons and suns ago, when the earth was still sparkling with the new light of the very first sunrise, all nature’s expressions were still under the creation of the spirits and the gods, who in large numbers were populating the lands and seas. New types of flowers, insects, fish and plants were born every day; all mirror images of the creative force that is God.
Beija flor is Portuguese for hummingbird, literally meaning “kiss flower”.
The sweet energy that comes with a kiss, the tenderness and the gentle sparkle of love that surfaces on the lips of the lovers. This is the gift that exudes from these rings. They wish of a magical world with waterfalls, gigantic green leaves and miniature hummingbirds taking the nectar from colourful rainforest flowers.
